Ramesh decided that he will come back in his village only after becoming an officer. At first, he left his job and cleared the State Institute of Administrative Careers SIAC exam which gave him a hostel to stay in and a stipend as scholarship. Finally in this son of illiterate parents cleared the UPSC examination with an all-India rank ofwithout any coaching.
He was selected for IAS. Keeping his words he came back to village after this. In his career of around eight years Ramesh has been appointed at many important position. He served as SDM in three district of Jharkhand. InRamesh was given the additional charge as Director Horticulture. Prior to this, he was serving as Director Agriculture.
There is no doubt that the government also runs various schemes for the uplift of the underprivileged, but due to their not being properly implemented at the grassroots level, those schemes do not get the expected benefits. Mr Gholap is doing just that. In order to ensure that these schemes of the government reach out to the needy people, he has devised a transparent mechanism and process.
Soon, Ramesh and his brother began helping their mother, Vimla, to sell bangles in nearby villages in order to earn a living, and to make matters worse, Ramesh also suffered from polio which affected his left leg. Yet, the circumstances forced young Ramesh to keep marching on despite the gargantuan challenges in front of him. Despite all the odds, Ramesh never gave up hope and preserved as he completed his education while also helping out his family to overcome financial difficulties.
But, deep down, it was not what Ramu really wanted to do.

Ramu lived with his mother and brother in a small room provided by his aunt, who had got her two-room home through a government scheme called Indira Awas Yojna. Ramu was angry with the ration shop owner too, who sold kerosene in the black market instead of providing it to needy families like his. I did not have money to take coaching classes either. So, the first thing I did was to meet one of the teachers of these coaching classes, just to understand if I was eligible to take the UPSC exam. The first teacher who met me was Mr. Atul Lande. I requested him to write down the answers to a few of my questions, like what is UPSC, can it be taken in Marathi, am I eligible for it, etc.
And he told me there was nothing to stop me from taking the UPSC. This experience had a profound impact on Ramesh, making him realize that education was his way out of poverty. From that moment on, he dedicated himself to his studies with unwavering determination, determined to create a better future for himself and his family. Although Ramesh was an outstanding student, financial limitations led him to choose a stable job over pursuing his dreams.
He completed a degree in arts from an open university and started working as a teacher in However, a serendipitous meeting with a tehsildar during his college years sparked a new ambition in him.
