The conviction and sincerity with which he projected it have assured him a place in rock history and earnt him critical acclaim as one of the greatest torchbearers of driving, effusive rock and blues.
The new album augments what we already knew about Rory and multiplies it by performances that show him in a whole new light. While still at school during his early teens, Rory began playing with professional show bands throughout Ireland, whose repertoires included all the popular hits of the day. Rory fell in love with acting while attending a local high school, and appeared in a couple of plays performed at the school.
Familiar face? Now he plays a convict on CBC's Banishedtonight at 9! It follows a new species of transformers, and the series was nominated for only a single award. Rory supports the Scottish Green Party.

He divorced actress Lita Baron in after 22 years of marriage and remarried journalist Sue Rhodes in Sue remained with him until his passing. Inactress Vitina Marcus filed a paternity suit against Calhoun, claiming he was the father of her seven-year-old daughter, Nathena.
The case was settled for an undisclosed amount. Rory Calhoun passed away on April 28,at age 76, in Burbank, California, from complications of diabetes and emphysema.
